This is taken from the Kowethas Website. I thought it was important enough to mention on this site as well. Wednesday, May 18, 2005 Conference and public meeting for the diary A public meeting on the Cornish Language is being held on May 26th, 7pm at County Hall, Truro. This was promised when the strategy was distributed and although the elections, both local and general, have meant that timetables have been somewhat delayed, it seems opportune to have a first meeting shortly. There will be a presentation of the strategy and a question and answer session afterwards. The meeting is open to all and is advertised in this week's papers. Do please pass this on to anyone you may know who would be interested. Also being planned is a first Cornish language conference which will give a chance to look at language planning issues with examples of good practice elsewhere and discussion of the issues in Cornwall as we move into implementation of the strategy. More news on this as it moves forward, but the provisional date is September 17th at Tremough. DIARY NOTE: Saturday 4th June - We understand there will be a stall on Lemon Quay in Truro on the 4th June promoting Cornish publications and Cornish generally. It is open to all groups to put material there. This initiative has been taken by Kowethas an Yeth and any group or individual wishing to put publications and information on the stall should contact the Secretary, Laurence Rule in the first instance. Details can be found on www.cornish-language.org

Does anyone know the latest updates on the Cornish language Strategy meeting. I was there and we were promised copies of the proposals made in the various forms, but to date there has been silence. Also the Warlinnen site has now removed the link to the single written form website, which is definitley not in keeping with the spirit of the conference.
