I was windering about an update of Kemmyn altered to fit more authentic forms but still based on the Kemmyn principles.
Use wh instead of hw. Hw can be regarded as a double letter like ch,
Qw instead of Kw.
ck rather than KK.
C in front of back vowels as traditionally used.
Gh at the end of words but h in the middle e.g flogh but fleghes, byghan would however become byan as byhan is unattested and byan is very common in the texts.
Marghek would be marek (this would is unattested with gh in the middle - marghek is pure invention)
ue instead of eu - recommended pronunciation the same, just use traditional spelling.
Use traditional forms of place names e.g. cambron not kammbronn. and use arwennek or falmoth rather than aberfal.
Show pre-occlusion through nn or mm as an alternative to bm or dn. Both should be allowed. Where there is no pre-occlusion the appropriate letter should be dropped e.g. Pensans rather than Pennsans.
It can be clearly seen that by making a few minor adjustments to Kemmyn, and keeping the same pronunciation it can accommodate more authentic spelling. More confusing? No, not really ck wouldn't be pronounced any different from kk, and qw sounds exactly the same as kw.
Such simplifications used in kemmyn are ultimately pointless, as it can be clearly seen that traditional forms can be incorporated with out any problems.
